Ph.D. Candidate at Politecnico di Torino, Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences
Irene Buraioli took her bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Bologna and her master degree with the emphasis on Bioelectronics at the Polytechnic University of Turin.
She carried out her master thesis in a collaboration with STMicroelectronics, where she worked on "study and development of a pulse wave velocity estimation system based on advanced wearable sensors”, with focus on the design of a cost-effective solution for a clinical systemic Pulse Wave Velocity estimation.
In October 2017, she started her Ph.D. program in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences at Politecnico di Torino and Università di Torino, under the supervision respectively of Prof. Danilo Demarchi and Prof. Franco Veglio. Her Ph.D. work includes collaborations with Molinette Hospital and STMicroelectronics.
Main interests are electronics, biomedical instrumentations and advanced sensors.
